Hot Melt Adhesives

Hot melt adhesives are the least expensive in terms of their basic cost and use.  Typically sold by the pound (as opposed to “by the gallon” with bulk or canister adhesives), they offer the best value on a per mil thickness basis.

They typically only need to be applied to a single surface to acquire a sufficient bond.  The down side (isn’t there always one?); the cost of the equipment to apply the adhesive.  

That being said, once the initial investment has been made, the equipment can last several years and the mil thickness cost goes down dramatically.
