Hot melt adhesives by Warren Adhesives available through Adhesive Solutions.

Hot melt adhesives are widely used in the packaging Industry, case and crating manufacturing, mattress and foam fabrication and other Industries. Hot Melts are the most cost efficient adhesive when compared by weight to liquid adhesives for the simple fact that they are 100% solids – everything applied is use.

Hot Melts are applied typically only on one side of the substrates to bond, either in beads or with air forming a swirl pattern which improves square coverage and reduces telegraphing.

Hot Melts are not regulated by the Air Quality Districts.
There is no need for special warehousing and they have a very long shelf life.

It is important to learn and understand how the equipment functions; this will provide an effective maintenance schedule of trouble free operation. Often times machines are left on for long periods of time with the glue “cooking inside”. This leads to charring and clogging of the nozzles. To prevent this, all machines come with a “stand by” button. Stand by will maintain the machine at a lower temperature that will prevent the adhesive from charring.

WAHM 363 from Warren Adhesives has been proven as a work horse when bonding foam to foam, foam to wood and on corrugated applications. It has a long working time and an excellent wet tack.

WAHM 8537 from Warren Adhesives is a full pressure sensitive hot melt with very high heat resistance. It remains tacky for a long period of time. It is very useful for case manufacturing when attaching foam inserts and carpeting.

WAHM 8537 is also used for metal panel fabrication for walk in freezers with long lasting results.

WAHM 065 is a very popular packaging grade hot melt. It has fast set speeds combined with low viscosity. It can be used in most case and carton erectors or sealing applications.

WAHM 001 is an ultra-quiet hot melt with very low odor, mostly used by high end mattress manufacturers. Finished mattresses fabricated with convoluted foam will remain quiet and will retain their original shape when built with WAHM 001.
